The Chinese Herbaceous Peony Garden covers an area of more than 20 acres. It’s located in the south west corner of the scenic region with the Love Garden to the north and the Peony Garden to the south. There plant nearly 10,000 peonies of different breeds. Chinese herbaceous peonies were originally grown in the north of China and the Siberian area. It tends to grow in the cool and cold climatic environment. It blossoms usually from the late of April to the early of May. It is Chinese traditional precious flower with over 4,000 years of history. It is widely recognized as the minister of flower kingdom, flower fairy of May and enjoys almost the same prestige with the queen of flower kingdom, peony.
